Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He goes by Calle instead of his birth name of Carl.
He was traded by the Sabres after one full season with the club, in what would become a lopsided trade in favor of the Capitals in the long run.
He received little to no recognition with the Capitals, as a result of playing behind the likes of Rod Langway, Scott Stevens, Kevin Hatcher and Al Iafrate on the blueline.
He wore the Jofa 'toilet bowl' style helmet for a few seasons.
He came out of retirement to play an eight game stint with the Maple Leafs (2003-04).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was considered a smooth skating defenseman by hockey pundits.
He established himself as a mainstay on the Washington blueline, following the departures of Stevens and Langway.
He was part of a Capitals blueline that set an NHL record for offensive scoring by a defensive unit (1992-93).
He was a member of the first Capitals team to make an appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals (1998).
He held the Capitals franchise record for career games played, prior to it being surpassed by Alexander Ovechkin.
