Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

Some hockey pundits felt he only played his best hockey under Claude Julien.
He earned the wrath of Canadiens fans when he signed with Boston.
He recorded a hat trick, only to have the third goal revoked, due to the puck defecting off Mark Streit's leg, in which the latter was credited for (2008).
He spent the majority of the Canadiens 2008 Stanley Cup playoff run as a healthy scratch.
He was forced to relinquish his signature number 73 upon signing with the Devils, due to the team's policy on prohibiting players from wearing high numbers.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the second native of Newfoundland and Labrador to win the Stanley Cup (2011).
He scored the quadruple overtime winning goal that ended the longest game in American Hockey League history (2003).
He was forgiven by Canadiens fans for his decision to sign with the Bruins, that he was given a standing ovation upon being reacquired by the team.
In a sign of respect for his contributions to the Canadiens upon being reacquired, his predecessor Brendan Gallagher relinquished #73 he wore to give it back to him.
He was forced to move away from his hometown of Bonavista to the mainland in order to further his hockey career.
