He directed Whitney Houston's 'Exhale (Shoop Shoop)' music video.
He appeared in two of the worst John Travolta films.

Why he might not be annoying:

During his college days, he received scholarships in football, music and drama.
He won the Best Actor award at Cannes for his title role in 'Bird,' about jazz legend Charles 'Bird' Parker.
No matter what the film, you can count on Whitaker to give a decent performance.
