Why she might be annoying:

She was so disliked at NY's Met that when she was fired from 'The Daughter of the Regiment,' the entire company cheered her firing (February, 1994).
Many of her collegues at the MET claimed she was obnoxious and wanted to be treated as a prima donna.
She notoriously mistreated the crew and only attended rehearsals at her whim.
Officially, the MET said they dismissed her for her 'unprofessional actions.'
Vanity Fair described her as 'arguably the most hated person in the music business.'

Why she might not be annoying:

She is ranked in People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in the World (1990).
She neglected her music career to teach inner-city children in the Cincinnati public school system.
She is slowly attempting to change her ways, and become more charming.
She gets upwards of $40,000 per performance.
