    He was typecast as authority figures.
    He attempted suicide by shooting himself in the temple, in an attempt to avoid another surgery.
    He looked like a poor man's version of Kelsey Grammer.
    He once said in regards to being typecast as authority figures, 'Thank God for the white male power structure.'
    Despite acting in various shows and films, many fans only remember him for his role as the clueless Mr. Kruger on 'Seinfeld.'
    In addition to his work in film and television, he was a successful stage actor.
    He was forced to miss his parents 50th wedding anniversary as a result of filming 'The Postman,' that he and co-star Kevin Costner made a special video for them in lieu of his absence.
    He was best remembered for giving an otherwise unmemorable character a layered sense of humanity.
    His character on 'Seinfeld' was remembered for his ineptitude and cluelessness, which was a hit amongst the show's fans.
    He suffered from diabetes, and had one leg amputated which forced him to end his acting career.
