Actor

The Resume

    (April 12, 1942-April 13, 2013)
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Portrayed Clarence 'Lumpy' Rutherford in Leave It To Beaver (1958-63), 'Still the Beaver' (1983) and 'The New Leave It To Beaver' (1983-89)
Also appeared in 'The Story of Will Rogers' (1952) and 'High School U.S.A.' (1983)

Why he might be annoying:

He was cast as Archie Andrews (of the 'Archie' comic books) in a TV pilot, but the would-be sponsor declared, 'That's not Archie, that's Lumpy,' and the show was never picked up.
He claimed to have slept with 1,000 women. (Fellow 'Beaver' star Ken Osmond's comment: 'I never pictured Frank as being Don Juan.')
He was married three times and divorced twice.
He admitted he did not read all of his 'autobiography.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He left show biz (except for occassional 'Beaver' reunions), deciding 'I didn't want to be like George Reeves, who could only be Superman.'
He became a successful broker of stocks and bonds. (His clients included former co-stars Jerry Mathers and Barbara Billingsley.)
Fellow 50s child star Paul Petersen said, 'He knew how to enjoy life and a more loyal friend would be hard to find.'
