    Wrote 'Little Women,' 'Little Men,' 'Jo's Boys,' 'Flower Fables,' 'Hospital Sketches' and 'Transcendental Wild Oats'

Why she might be annoying:

    She lived on a commune.
    She was a vegetarian.
    Her novel 'A Long Fatal Love Chase' was rejected because it was deemed too 'sensational' (1866). It however was released in 1990.

Why she might not be annoying:

    Her book 'Little Women' has appeared on the best seller list 100 years after her death.
    When her sister Abigail May Alcott died, she became the guardian of her six week old niece Louisa May Nieriker (1879).
    Before gaining fame as a writer she worked as a servant and Civil War nurse.
