    During his first year in the Majors, he was used as a defensive outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers team that lost the World Series to the New York Yankees in 7 games.
    The Dodgers traded him to the Cardinals for Wally Moon, costing him a chance to be part of the 1959 World Series winning Dodgers team.
    He recorded a career high of 8 errors as an outfielder in the 1962 season.
    He struck out in his final career at-bat.
