Why he might be annoying:

Less than a year after forming they went from a four to two girl group.
They named themselves after a Scottish fanzine.
They dressed liked tarts in clothes straight from a Boy George rummage sale and called themselves the 'scabby witches from Glasgow.'
They never achieved mainstream popularity in the U.S.

Why he might not be annoying:

They didn't fit a particular music genre as they embraced punk and goth but recorded more new wave/dance oriented music.
One critic described them as suitable brides for Robert Smith.
'Since Yesterday' was a Top 5 smash in the U.K. and they received substantial air play in The Philippines.
They broke up not from in-fighting but the pressure of trying to sell Top 40 records.
They've developed a cult following and 2006 saw the release of 'Platinum Collection,' a greatest hits package.
