Why Lucha Underground might be annoying:

It's on a fairly-new cable network that's on the extraneous tiers of some cable and satellite systems, and not carried at all by others, so it has a limited audience.
'Lucha Underground' isn't a true wrestling promotion itself per se, but a TV show about a wrestling promotion.
Promoter Dario Cueto isn't a real-life person, but a character played by an actor.
Shows are pre-recorded ahead of time, and wouldn't be broadcast on TV until many months later.
Some of the live audience at the tapings break their non-disclosure agreements and spoil the results of matches yet to be broadcast.
The show had problems producing its first few episodes when some of its Mexican talent had visa issues and couldn't make it to the tapings in California.
Some luchadores' gimmicks range from the supernatural to the downright silly (reptilians, revenants, time-traveling spacemen, motorcycle gangs, rabbit-worshipping cults...)
Female face wrestler and 'Lucha' talent Sexy Star drew controversy when she purposely dislocated another wrestler's arm at an AAA Triplemania event (late August 2017).
Jim Cornette HATES it with a passion and constantly complains on his podcast about how he feels that it makes pro wrestling look bad.
They are sponsored by Modelo beer.

Why Lucha Underground might not be annoying:

It mixes and matches many different styles of pro wrestling and fighting - American wrestling, Lucha Libre, MMA, you name it...
It features some popular WWE exiles and 'Tough Enough' alumni, such as Rey Mysterio and Johnny Mundo (ne Morrison).
It includes intergender wrestling, but the women are more than capable of wrestling against their male counterparts.
One exciting stipulation is 'Aztec Warfare', a Royal Rumble-style match with at least 20 wrestlers filing in one by one to take on others already in the ring.
They broadcast Sexy Star screaming 'F*CK YOU MARIPOSA!' during her famous match against Mariposa, without any bleeping or censoring!
It's a fresh and exciting alternative to more mainstream American wrestling promotions, such as the WWE.
It was well-received by the pro wrestling fandom (with the exception of Jim Cornette and some WWE purists).
