Premise: A panel of four celebrities try to guess the unusual secret of a panelist by asking 'yes' or 'no' questions
Why I've Got A Secret might be annoying
It was extremely similar to other panel-based game shows like 'What's My Line?' and 'To Tell the Truth.'
Some of the contestants' secrets were just plain weird (ex. a woman who paints pictures with her breasts).
Garry Moore 'retired' from television and left this show, then hosted a revival of the similar game show 'To Tell the Truth' a few years later.
The last four attempts at a revival didn't last long.
Winston cigarettes were a big time sponsor of the show.
Cartons of cigarettes were often given to contestants as prizes and host Moore was often seen smoking on air.
Why I've Got A Secret might not be annoying
It had a much more laid back and fun atmosphere compared to its contemporaries.
TV Guide ranked it as the 27th greatest game show of all-time.
During a demonstration of one of the contestant's secrets that involved an elephant, the elephant crapped in the studio live on air.
The 2006 version featured an all-gay panel.
It found a new audience when GSN started rerunning it.
One episode featured the last surviving witness of the Abraham Lincoln assassination.
