He failed to live up to his draft billing, despite being a top five pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
He was traded by the Islanders after the team grew frustrated with his lack of development after being drafted by the team two years earlier.
Many Oiler fans loathe him as they traded away their first round draft pick to acquire him, which the Islanders used on Mathew Barzal.
He failed to crack a roster spot on the expansion Vegas Golden Knights team.
Like his older brother Max, he struggled to adapt to the rigours of the professional ranks.
Why he might not be annoying
He is the only one of his siblings to play as a defenseman.
He captained the Edmonton Oil Kings to a Memorial Cup championship (2014).
He was considered a skilled defenseman during his junior career.
