    Born in Tampere, Finland
    Drafted 29th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft
    Defenseman for the Winnipeg Jets (1988-96), Phoenix Coyotes (1996-2003), Dallas Stars (2003-04) and Buffalo Sabres (2005-09)
    He sports a unibrow.
    He spent the majority of his career on a mediocre Winnipeg/Phoenix franchise.
    Despite his status as the longest serving member of the franchise, the team traded him to Dallas for little in return.
    His nickname is 'Repo Man.'
    As of the 2007-08 season, he held the record for most regular season and playoff games combined without a Stanley Cup.
    He surpassed Jari Kurri's record for most games played by a European born NHL player.
    He left the Winnipeg/Phoenix franchise as the all-time leader in defensive categories and games played.
    The Coyotes retired his number 27 following his trade.
    He served as the Coyotes team captain for the last two seasons with the team.
    He is part owner of the Montreal Stick Company.
