Organization

The Resume

    (July 1973- )
Nongovernmental organization of private citizens from North America, Europe and the Pan Pacific region
Dedicated to increasing and managing 'interdependence' between these regions
Members include former US Presidents George H W Bush, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton
Former VPs Dick Cheney and Walter Mondale and numerous US cabinet members also belong
Former leaders of at least five foreign countries are also members
    Publishes 'Trialogue' magazine

Why they might be annoying:

Much like the Council on Foreign Relations (with whom they share many members and goals), they are distrusted by conspiracy theorists.
The left distrusts them because their membership includes many members of multinational companies who are seeking to use 'interdependence' to help their companies.
The right distrusts them because their goal of 'interdependence' seems in conflict with national sovereignty.
Their membership, which includes high-ranking Democrats and Republicans, makes you wonder if the two political parties are in cahoots, at least when it comes to economics.
Jimmy Carter's administration had seventeen Commission members in it and we remember how well that turned out.
That many rich people working together in one place can't be good.
Major news organizations have not and will not do any type of in depth reporting on them.

Why they might not be annoying:

They are far more open about their membership and goals than other similar organizations like the Council on Foreign Relations or the Bilderbergs.
They do not allow politicians or any type of government appointees/employees to be members, i.e., Jimmy Carter was a member before and after his administration but not during.
Our economy is in fact interdependent with other countries whether anyone likes it or not. So maybe having someone working on that is not such a bad idea.
Unlike the mainstream media which won't report on them, amiannoying.com isn't afraid to talk about them!
