Why she might be annoying:

    She never married.
    She was gossipy.
She was a quiet person, and her life story doesn't provide many interesting anecdotes.
Many of her novels have been made into movies, some of which are not very good.

Why she might not be annoying:

She fell in love once, but her boyfriend died before they could get married.
She died of a kidney disease at age 41.
Some consider her the greatest novelist who ever lived.
She said: 'For what do we live, if not to make sport of our neighbors and laugh at them in our turn?'
