Why he might be annoying:

    In his rowdy criminal past, he robbed a number of hunting camps and actually set at least one camper on fire!
    Unlike his wife, he can be really awkward.
    As evidenced by sustaining a wound in his leg in an off-roading incident (also known as mud-bogging), he’s quite clumsy.
    He met his common-law wife online.
    ‘Alana finks babies come from the birds and the bees. But I told Alana, actually, babies come from a store.’

Why he might not be annoying:

    Perhaps not surprisingly, he loves ‘redneck’ activities.
    He can actually sleep sitting up.
    He is a father figure to Mama June’s other three daughters (good thing, too, since each was fathered by a different guy and he’s one of only three she does remember).
    He volunteers as a firefighter.
    Thanks to a health scare involving the chest and pancreas, he has to lay off the fried and spicy foods.
