Head coach for the Dallas Cowboys (2000-02)

Why he might be annoying:

He coached at 11 different college progams, before landing his initial job with the Cowboys.
He is the first head coach in Cowboys history not to post a winning record or make a playoff appearance.
His rise to the Cowboys head coaching position stemmed from the fact he was one of the last links to the 1990's Super Bowl winning teams.
His Cowboy teams did no better than 5-11 in all three of his seasons as head coach.
Some football pundits felt he was in way over his head when he landed the Cowboys head coaching job.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a member of the coaching staff of all three of the Cowboys Super Bowl winning teams of the 1990's.
He coached alongside both Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer in both college and with the Cowboys.
He was credited with keeping the team competitive, despite losing Troy Aikman to a career-ending concussion and high turnover on the roster.
He did not leave the Cowboys on sour terms, as he returned to the franchise six years later as part of Wade Phillips's coaching staff.
