    Its most famous resident is Phil the groundhog — and he’s usually pulled from a box instead of a burrow.
    How easy is it to spell?
    Despite being set here, ‘Groundhog Day (1993)’ was actually filmed in Illinois.
    Almost all of the borough – 3,4 sq mi (8,9 sq km) – is land.

Why Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania might not be annoying:

    Its name is derived from a Native American term for a fairly common insect to the area, a sand fly.
    The white man did not settle here until the tail end of the 18th century. Ultimately, whites made up more than 98 percent of the population.
    The annual Groundhog Day ritual (February 2) takes place on Gobbler’s Knob.
    It’s not one of the coldest above-the-Equator jurisdictions during the winter — although there can be mounds of snow to almost none.
