Why he might be annoying
He was part of the worst trade in NHL history, when The Maple Leafs traded Russ Courtnall to The Canadiens for him.
He was known as a goon.
He took steroids.
He had several assault charges against him.
He was addicted to alcohol and cocaine.
He was suspended from The Nordiques after failing a drug test.
He died during a struggle with Police in a motel room.
His cause of death was listed as cocaine overdose and a collapsed lung.
Why he might not be annoying
He was sexually abused by his minor league hockey coach.
He was originally known as a goal scorer, and was pushed to be a goon by his coaches.
He became severely depressed after the death of his father.
He attempted to quit drugs and alcohol many times.
His death helped change the policy of many NHL teams towards drug abuse, encouraging players to get counseling instead of suspending or releasing them.
