He was divorced.
He dropped out of high school.
He was bent on the destruction of the United States.
He was linked to and possibly collaborated with al-Qaeda leaders Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri.
He claimed responsibility for several different acts of violence against westerners in Saudi Arabia.
He helped start a new terrorist plan of replacing bombings with kidnappings and assassinations.
He and several others abducted innocent engineer Paul Johnson and threatened to kill him within three days unless several demands of theirs were met.
When the demands weren't met, he beheaded Johnson and posted pictures of the crime on the Internet (June 18, 2004).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was killed in a shootout while trying to dispose of Johnson's body (June 18, 2004).
He was supposedly tortured in Saudi prisons.
He is dead.
