Why he might be annoying:

The New York Post called him ‘Mister Prosecutie.'
He joined the prosecution team three months into the case, prompting Johnnie Cochran to comment, ‘All of a sudden he shows up over here. Why is that, now that we have eight African-Americans [on the jury]?'
He came up with the brilliant idea of having O.J. try on the bloody gloves from the murder scene.
During a sidebar, he complained that Cochran had stepped on his Ferragamo shoes and should be required to buy him a new pair.
He took a leave of absence from the District Attorney's office after the O.J. trial and was fired for ‘abandoning his job.'

Why he might not be annoying:

After he was called an ‘uncle Tom,' he said, ‘Where the hell were these people when the LAPD was vilifying me, calling me too black and too militant?'
He was originally slated to question Mark Furman but deferred to Clark after receiving death threats.
He had originally wanted O.J. to try on a new pair of gloves identical to the ones from the crime scene. After Cochran objected, Judge Ito suggested having O.J. try on the bloody gloves.
