    Premise: game show where contestants sing along to a popularsong with a band and must continue to sing it correctly when the band stops playing

Why The Singing Bee might be annoying:

    Many of the contestants have awful singing voices.
    The contestants must sing the EXACT lyrics of the song, because the slightest mistake will get them penalized.
    It was originally going to debut in the fall, but NBC rushed it to air in the summer to compete with FOX's ripoff 'Don't Forget the Lyrics!'
    Joey Fatone had to watch his song 'Bye Bye Bye' get completely butchered by one contestant.
    Unlike NBC's other game shows which offer 6 to 7 figure cash prizes, this show's top prize is $50,000 and an ugly trophy.

Why The Singing Bee might not be annoying:

    Soon after NBC announced it, FOX completely ripped it off with their show 'Don't Forget the Lyrics!'
    It lacks the cheesy 'suspense' and faux drama of the other prime time game shows.
    Deanna Johnston from 'Rock Star: INXS' is a singer for the show's band.
    It features a wide variety of music from several different decades.
    It features four supermodels dancing to the music in skimpy outfits called 'The Honey Bees.'
