Why he might be annoying:

Skeptics believe he doesn't really understand human language, but has learned association and memorization.
When he does not know what something is, he makes up his own word for it. (Just like our President!)
If he's so smart, why doesn't he use the toilet instead of pooping on newspapers?

Why he might not be annoying:

He provides researchers with cutting edge insight into animal language and communication.
If one of the researchers working with him appears angry, he'll say 'sorry' to diffuse the situation.
His favorite foods include grapes, cherries and nuts.
It is believed he can distinguish whether something is fabric, wood, metal or liquid.
Given how smart he is, maybe being called a bird brain isn't such a bad thing.
