Why he might be annoying:

He was a switch hitter.
During his time in Japan, he was given a suspension and a $10,000 fine for throwing a glove at Orions manager Masaichi Kaneda to start a fight.
He didn't manage a major league team higher than fourth place.
He was a member of the Dodgers team that was swept in four games by the Baltimore Orioles during the 1966 World Series.
He was ejected from a game between the United States and China for arguing about Wei Wang's collision incident at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
