The Resume

Why they might be annoying:

The Island of the Idols had giant statues featuring the likenesses of Boston Rob and Sandra.
Producers did an extremely poor job of making the hidden idols hard to find.
They had two Toms in the same game.
Jeff was not there to greet the castaways at the start of the game this time.
They had to put up with social media fans constantly harassing them for their actions during the season.
Missy and Elizabeth were ripped online merely because they *thought* about framing Dan for sexual misconduct (as if thinking were a crime).
Aaron was seen melting down online after his social media followers flamed him for words he had said during the game.
During Tribal Councils, Boston Rob and Sandra eavesdropped on the tribes in their spy shack perched above the Council area.
Dan became the first castaway ever ejected from the game (he was bothering too many people with his constant physical contact).
The season saw its fourth female finalist in a row that received zero votes.
The finale aired in the U.S. during impeachment hearings.
The reunion show was not done live this time.
They disinvited Dan from the reunion, owing to his ejection, while Jack and Elizabeth chose not to show up for the reunion at all.
Survivor alumnus Silas Gaither was charged with sexual assault during the season's airing.

Why they might not be annoying:

Players visiting the Island of the Idols did not have to be there all alone, as they were joined by two past Winners: the Robfather and the Queen.
Boston Rob and Sandra were not competing for the million dollars this time; rather, the two of them served in a neutral capacity, as mentors.
Most of the time, on the Isle of Idols, the mentors gave the castaways a chance to gain advantages, at the risk of losing their vote at their next Tribal Council.
At the Final Five, the tribe moved to the Island of the Idols for the remainder of the game.
Joe and Sierra from Worlds Apart got married during this season’s airing.
The Sia Awards increased the total amount of money given out after the season aired; Jamal received $15,000 while Elaine and Janet received $100,000 apiece from Sia.
Survivor lost a prominent member of its family while this season aired, when Rudy Boesch passed away from Alzheimer’s at age 91.
