    Has fielded entries for Dale Earnhardt, Kevin Harvick. Clint Bowyer, and Jeff Burton
    Father-in-law of former NASCAR driver Mike Dillon, grandfather of future drivers Austin and Ty Dillon

Why he might be annoying:

    He never did anything to curb Earnhardt's aggressive driving style.
    He continued to employ Kevin Harvick even though he constantly threw temper tantrums and wrecked other drivers.
    He lets his Cup drivers run the lower-level Nationwide Series to collect extra paychecks.
    He signs younger drivers to development contracts, then rarely lets them run any NASCAR races.
    He never won a race at the NASCAR level.
    He retired at the advice of the R.J. Reynolds company.
    After Earnhardt died, his team was uncompetitive for several years.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He gave his son-in-law a contract to drive for his Busch Series team, and signed contracts for his grandsons to drive for him.
    He has become one of the wealthiest men in North Carolina.
    He is an outdoor conservationist.
    He owned a single-car operation for 35 years, and remained competitive when most teams were fielding multiple entries.
    He was the first NASCAR team owner to win championships in all three main series.
    He purchased his first race car for $20.
    He is one of the most well-known and respected figures in NASCAR.
    He was an independent driver who built his own engines and drove his own hauler for his race team.
