Why he might be annoying:

He, along with Orlando Cabrera and David Eckstein were part of a three team shortstop swap during the 2004-05 free agency season.
He played on three different teams in three years between 2004 and 2006.
His inconsistent play led to Boston fans calling him names like 'Rente-error' and 'Rent-A-Wrecka.'
Despite putting up impressive numbers in his first season with the Braves and a lack of quality shortstops, he was snubbed out of a Gold Glove (2006).
He recorded a career high 30 errors during his only season with the Red Sox.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the first Colombian born player to appear in a World Series (1997).
He got the series winning hit in the 1997 World Series.
He isn't afraid to sacrifice his personal time to meet with fans.
He recorded 20+ game hit streaks on three occasions.
He admitted his struggles with the Red Sox was a result of the lofty expectations that were placed on him.
