Tayback was the only actor from the film to reprise his role in the series.
Lavin recorded different versions of the theme song each season.
Holliday left for an unsuccessful spin-off, 'Flo.'
The waitresses were always getting fired and eventually rehired, even though Phoenix would seem to be large enough to offer alternative restaurants to work at.
Why Alice might not be annoying
Ladd, who played Flo in the movie, replaced her in the series.
Jolene was a distant relative of Boss Hogg from The Dukes of Hazard.
It won a Golden Globe for best comedy (1980).
Alice was named Favorite Working Mom at the TV Land Awards (2007).
