Hockey Player

The Resume

    (February 11, 1988- )
Born in White Rock, British Columbia, Canada
Goaltender for the Ottawa Senators (2014-17) and the Colorado Avalanche (2017-18)
    Attended Bowling Green University (2009-13)
    Nicknamed 'The Hamburglar.'

Why he might be annoying:

His 'Hamburglar' nickname was a ripoff of the character made famous by McDonald's.
He admitted to nearly quitting hockey after getting cut from his Junior A team.
After signing a contract extension with the Senators (May 20, 2015), he was unable to duplicate his earlier success.
Some hockey pundits went as far as comparing his career to those of mid 1990's goaltenders Jim Carey and Blaine Lacher.
He flamed out in the playoffs during his rookie season and was benched after the Senators lost the first two games of their first round playoff series.
His tenure with the Avalanche lasted only one game.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a member of the Vernon Vipers team that won the RBC Cup (Canada's National Junior A championship - 2009).
Despite posting a losing record during his tenure at Bowling Green, he had an ability to steal crucial victories for his team.
He tied Frank Brimsek's record for allowing fewer than two goals in his first 12 NHL games.
He went 20–1–2 in his first 23 NHL games.
He had an endorsement from McDonald's as a result of his Hamburglar moniker.
