Why he might be annoying:

As of 2012, he had 34–46 record as an NFL coach.
Many Cowboys players were upset that he was hired as Head Coach in 1998.
He has a knack to leave coaching positions after only a few years.
His longest consecutive tenure at the same position was six years.
During his time at Georgia Tech, he never beat their rival Georgia Bulldogs.
He was fired from the Chiefs during the 2009 preseason.
As Bills coach, he resigned quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to a long-term $59 million contract, despite Fitzpatrick having mediocre stats and a weak throwing arm.
He led the Bills to a 5-2 start in 2010, but they finished 6-10 for the year and last in their division.
He was unable to do much with a talented Bills roster.
During a press conference following a Bills loss, he said 'I always make poor calls in a game'.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the only coach in Cowboys history to take them to the playoffs each year during his tenure (even if he was only there for two seasons).
He took Georgia Tech to Bowl games during each of his seasons there.
    He is an Eagle Scout.
He was well-liked by his players.
He is considered to be one of the better offensive minds in football.
He was hired by the Bills after most of the top contenders turned down the job, and had to take over a franchise that hadn't made the playoffs in a decade.
After getting fired from the Bills he said during a press conference ' think it will be the first place that’s ever fired me that I’ll pull for.'
