Why George Lopez (TV Series) might be annoying:

Many episode titles are littered with bad puns.
For some reason, the theme song is 'Low Rider' by War.
The opening credits feature the cast jumping on a trampoline (what is this, The Man Show?)
The musical bumpers placed between scenes are often peppered with some of George's catchphrases (Orale! Wotcha!)
Carmen was written out of the series due to creative differences between Lopez and Masiela Lusha.
To retain the teenage girl dynamic, the writers added George's niece, played by Aimee Garcia, to take over all of Carmen's lines (can you say, 'jump the shark', boys and girls?)
Critics accused it of perpetuating negative Mexican stereotypes.
According to Chris Griffin from Family Guy, it furthered the stereotype that George Lopez was funny.
In flashback scenes, they never hired a child to play a young George Lopez; rather, they used special effects to put George's adult head on a child's body.

Why George Lopez (TV Series) might not be annoying:

You try finding a child actor with a head as proportionately big as George Lopez's.
It dealt with important issues such as gangs, poverty, and racism.
It was picked up by Nick-at-Nite immediately after it ended first-run production.
Meg Griffin from Family Guy likes it, despite her brother's objections.
It was the first American sitcom with a mostly Hispanic cast to make it to syndication.
