The Resume

    (April 16, 1938- )
    Born in Chicago, Illinois
Portrayed David Vincent in The Invaders (1967-68)
Portrayed Dr. Phil Brewer on General Hospital (1963-65)
Portrayed Ben Quick on The Long Hot Summer (1965-66)
Portrayed Nick Hogan on Falcon Crest (1982-83)
Acted in 'The FBI Story (1959),' 'Doppelganger (1969),' 'Charley One-Eye (1973),' 'Airport 1975 (1974),' 'The Hindenburg (1975),' 'Rush Week (1989),' 'A Beautiful Mind (2001),' and 'Broken English (2007)'

Why he might be annoying:

He was married four times and divorced three.
He was cast to play Arthur Adamson in Alfred Hitchcock's last film, but was replaced after William Devane - the first choice for the role - became available (although Hitchcock claimed it was because he was dissatisfied with the performance).
The firing was so unceremonious that he confronted Hitchcock at a crowded Chasen's restaurant to ask the director why he was fired. Hitchcock nonchalantly stared at him without answering until the actor left (no footage exists of his performance).
He has a decades-long career on film and television but is only remembered for his stint on The Invaders, which attained a cult following after its cancellation.

Why he might not be annoying:

He received roughly 1,500 fan letters per week during his time on 'The Long Hot Summer.'
He met his wife Lynn Loring on The Invaders show - they were married for over fifteen years and had two kids together.
TV Guide placed his David Vincent role at #6 on its 25 Greatest Sci-Fi Legends list.
He was in the pilot episode of Law & Order as District Attorney Alfred Wentworth, but by the time the show was picked up, he was contractually obligated to another TV series. His character was replaced with Steven Hill/Adam Schiff (his show - a Dark Shadows reboot - didn't last a season).
He has maintained an interest in UFO-related information since his time on The Invaders.
