Recorded 'Show No Mercy' (1983), 'Live Undead' (live-1983), 'Haunting the Chapel' (1984), 'Hell Awaits' (1985), 'Reign in Blood' (1986), 'South of Heaven' (1988), 'Seasons in the Abyss' (1990), 'Decade of Aggression' (double live album-1991), 'Divine Intervention' (1994), 'Undisputed Attitude' (cover album-1996), 'Diabolus in Musica' (1998) and 'God Hates Us All' (2001)
Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman are reportedly atheists

Why they might be annoying:

They wrote '213' in honor of serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer, who lived in apartment 213.
'Reign in Blood's' 'Postmortem' seems quite scrambled, it was an error in pressing the CD and never corrected.
On the cover of 'Divine Intervention,' they have a picture of a slashed arm.
Someone actually carved the name 'Slayer' in his back.
The members of the group are covered in tattoos.
They claim the brain on the back of the 'Undisputed Attitude' booklet is Kurt Cobain.
They enjoy having a satanic image.
They have been accused of being nazis.
Tom 'I don't like people accusing us of being right-wing.
2 of us (Lombardo was still in the band) aren't even American.
How could we be fascists?' (1988)
When asked about their makeup, Kerry said: 'To me, the make-up represented rebellion from fucking LA 'pretty' make-up.
It was like, 'What can I do to distance myself from Mötley Crüe and Poison as much as possible?.
That had a lot to do with out motivation.'
Tom added: 'After that, everyone and their fucking mother came out wearing that shit...'
They overuse the words evil, hate, God, Satan, Hell, Heaven, kill and blood in their lyrics.

Why they might not be annoying:

They provided music for soundtracks like 'Bride of Chucky,' 'River's Edge,' 'Spawn,' 'Judgment Night,' 'Gremlins 2' and 'Less than Zero.'
They were originally going to be called, 'DragonSlayer,' but changed it to 'Slayer,' because it was easier for fans to chant.
When Tom was asked about their hard image he said: 'We're basically just silly kids that wanna have a good time.'
