Why he might be annoying
He hardly ever wore a helmet.
Being an awkward plodder, he was not a natural talent.
At 23 goals and 175 assists in nearly 1100 NHL games, he holds the record for fewest goals by a player with more than 1000 games under his belt.
Why he might not be annoying
He was still with the Flames when they transferred to Calgary.
While he racked up 65 in 1984–1985, he went eight seasons without more than two penalty minutes.
As a Senators’ representative, he netted a goal in the 1993 All-Star Game.
He went on to own a sports bar in Nepean, an Ottawa suburb.
