In real life, he collected photos of dead children.
He was obsessed with Edwardian England.
He had a coffee table made from a tombstone.
He preferred cats to people.
He said that Julia Roberts had a face like Snap, Crackle or Pop.

His books are witty and creepy.
He caricatured himself in his drawings.
He learned to read at three (or so he said).
He did a lot of charity work in his spare time.
He was modest.
He was surprised when people would ask for his autograph.
He hated pretentious celebrities.
He suffered from diabetes and prostate cancer.
