Why he might be annoying:

He is extremely cocky.
He is so condescending and vain that writers have called him the most arrogant coach in all of sports.
It has been said of him that he won’t leave the locker room until ‘every hair on his head is in its place.’
He makes no bones about the fact that he and Pat Summitt
can’t stand each other, and has insulted her on several occasions.

Why he might not be annoying:

He has won 5 NCAA titles, and built a dynasty in women's basketball.
He won 70 straight games from 2001-2003.
His program is one of only two women’s basketball programs (Tennessee being the other) that has made money every year for over a decade.
He consistently beats Pat Summitt when Tennessee plays UConn, and it has become the biggest rivalry in women’s sports.
Many of his former players credit him with instilling the self-confidence needed to succeed in life.
Along with Calhoun in 2004, they led both UConn programs to the national championship in the same year. It is the only time it has been done in history.
Like Calhoun, he built the Uconn program from scratch.
He is fluent in Italian.
