Recorded 'Wild Wild West,' 'Shake For The Sheik,' 'Walking Through Walls,' 'Call It Poison' and 'I'll Be There'

Why they might be annoying:

They were two groups, The Espressos and Mad Shadows, that lost some of their personnel and melded into one group.
They incorporated three session keyboardists for their 'Wild Wild West' album.
They were heavily in debt when they disbanded.
Steel and Holliday tried to form a new band, Cloud 10, and sell music through the Internet under the 'Escape Club' moniker, but lack of interest shut them down.

Why they might not be annoying:

'Wild Wild West,' with its illusionary video and heavy MTV air play, reached #1 on Billboard's Singles chart (November 1988).
The album of the same title went gold.
'I'll Be There' was written in dedication to the wife of a friend of theirs who passed away.
Steel and Holliday have produced and written songs for other artists.
Steel has gone on to become a judge for 'Popstars,' an Australian version of American Idol.
