    During his seven year contract with Universal, he was suspended without pay 10 times.
    His four marriages have produced three divorces.
    Although he is still married to Stella Farentino (as of 2009), he and Stella each filed for divorce on grounds of irreconcilable differences, only to withdraw their petitions.
    He was arrested in British Columbia after the Mounties intercepted a package with cocaine being sent to his hotel room (1991).
    He pled 'no contest' to stalking ex-girlfriend Tina Sinatra (1993).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He won a Golden Globe for most promising male newcomer (1967).
    His performance at Lincoln Center as Stanley Kowalski in 'A Streetcar Named Desire' (1973) earned him a World Theatre Award and was described by the New York Times as showing 'more suavity than Brando.'
    He parted amicably with wife Michele Lee and became friends with her next husband, producer Fred Rappaport.
