The Resume

    (May 7, 1847-May 21, 1929)
Born in Berkeley Square, London, United Kingdom
    Birth name was Archibald Primrose
    Fith Earl of Rosebery
    Lord Privy Seal (1885)
    Foreign Secretary (1886,1892-94)
    Prime Minister (1894-95)
    Member of the Liberal Party

Why he might be annoying:

He violated Oxford rules by buying a racehorse (1868).
Told to either sell the horse or give up his studies, he chose the latter.
Like Oscar Wilde, he was hounded by the Marquess of Queensberry over his relationship with one of the Marquess' sons.
He rode around London in a carriage trying to cure his insomnia.
His time as Prime Minister was unsuccessful, with his domestic plans thwarted by the House of Lords and his foreign policies undermined by dissension in his own party.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was such a promising politician that both Disraeli and Gladstone tried to persuade him to join their respective parties.
When Gladstone named him Foreign Minister, Queen Victoria called it 'the only really good appointment' in the government.
His son Neill died in World War I.
In college, he said he had three goals in life: to win the Derby, to marry an heiress and to become Prime Minister. He accomplished all three.
