The Resume

    (October 26, 1983- )
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Full name is Katharine Bear Tur
    NBC News correspondent (2009- )
Correspondent for The Weather Channel (2009- )
Former local reporter for News 12 Brooklyn and Fox 5 News (2005-09)
Served as an NBC News regular correspondent for the Donald Trump presidential campaign; was frequently singled out by Trump during rallies prompting the Twitter hashtag #Iamwithtur
Hired as an afternoon MSNBC anchor in January, 2017
Author of 'Unbelievable: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History' (2017)

Why she might be annoying:

At 26, she dated Keith Olbermann - in his forties and nearly twenty years her senior.
She very often gave the impression of being 'in over her head' on assignments.
The New York Times was forced to change the title of a flattering piece they did on her ('She's Tougher Than She Looks'), after it was deemed 'sexist.'
She had a contentious, at times antagonistic, relationship with Trump; with her often badgering him during his answers, and him usually taunting her sarcastically.
On one occasion her interruptions got to the point where Trump told her to 'be quiet' before pivoting to the subject of Hillary Clinton's deleted emails. The outrage from feminists decrying the 'sexism' was predictably overblown.
She was present at the Trump Tower during the post-election media exec/anchor summit at which President-elect Trump (allegedly) chided 'we're sitting in a room full of liars.'
She wasn't mentioned by name during the private shaming, but it was widely believed that Trump was referring to her when he made mention of 'an NBC reporter who got it all wrong.'
She came under widespread scrutiny during an interview with Rep. Tim Rooney in which she asserted that previous administrations had not been as close to Russia as the Trump admin. Rooney responded by making reference to President Obama's 2012 hot mic moment promising 'greater flexibility after the election' to then-President Dmitry Medvedev.
She appeared legitimately perplexed and responded 'I don't know what you're talking about.' Hours later she tweeted a retraction after 'doing research,' adding 'to be fair I didn't touch politics in 2012. I almost exclusively covered fires and shootings in the NYC area' (Feb. 20, 2017).

Why she might not be annoying:

    She is fluent in Spanish.
She is the daughter of the husband-wife journalist team of Bob Tur and Marika Gerrard.
She graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a BA in Philosophy (2005).
She received the Associated Press’s Best Spot News Award for her coverage of a Crane Collapse on the Upper East Side (2008).
She worked as a storm chaser for The Weather Channel's VORTEX2 team.
Her father was diagnosed with gender identity disorder, later obtaining hormonal displacement therapy and changing his name to 'Hannah' (or 'Zoey').
She was jointly presented with the Walter Cronkite Award for Journalistic Excellence, along with Jorge Ramos and Jake Tapper (April, 2017).
She was working as a foreign correspondent in London when she accepted the summer assignment to cover Trump's campaign (she was told it would last no longer than six weeks tops).
For some reason, Trump enjoyed calling her out from the podium by name ('she's back there - little Katy - what a little liar she is!'), very often followed by boos, hissing, and profanity-laced harassment from rally-goers.
There were claims that she required a Secret Service escort to and from rallies because of the hostility level, however this was only necessary in one such instance (according to her, it was at the end of the December 2015 event when Trump announced his 'Muslim Ban').
In terms of looks, lets just say she'd be a better choice to host Meet the Press than either Chuck Todd or David Gregory (but it would never happen - she told the NYT she's already tired of anchoring and prefers 'reporting').
