Recorded 'Fool's Paradise,' 'Wish That I Could Talk To You,' 'Through The Love In My Heart,' 'Boogie Fever,' 'Cotton Candy,' 'Hot Line,' 'High School Dance' and 'Don't Stop, Get Off'
Portrayed themselves in the movie 'The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh (1979)'
Lead singer Edmund died of lung cancer at age 47 (March 11, 2004)

Why they might be annoying:

They were Jackson 5 wannabes.
Edmund went so far as to voice Marlon Jackson on the 1971-1973 ABC cartoon series 'The Jackson 5ive.'
The four eldest siblings started out as a group called The Little Angels.
Only two of their ten albums were released of original material (with six different labels) had all nine siblings in the line-up.

Why they might not be annoying:

Their mother and tutor, Shirley Sylvers, was a classically trained opera singer.
'Boogie Fever' hit #1 on Billboard's Singles chart in 1976 and 'Hot Line' made it to #5 in 1977.
Youngest brother (and non-singing member) Christopher died at 18 (1985).
After they disbanded several members went on to produce, sing back-up and play instruments for such pop/R&B acts as Janet Jackson, Gladys Knight, Klymaxx, The Brothers Johnson, Shalamar, The Whispers and The S.O.S. Band.
