Why she might be annoying:

    Her middle name was Trevor.
She was sickly most of her life and didn't attend school until age 14.
Poet Vachel Lindsay courted her, but felt he could never live up to her expectations and abandoned his pursuit.
In 1929, she moved to New York City without her husband, and after three months satisfied the criteria for divorce, ending her 15 year marriage.
Lindsay committed suicide in 1931, and two years later, feeling isolated and depressed, she followed suit and ended her life.

In 1918, her poetry collection 'Love Songs' took three awards: the Columbia University Poetry Society prize, the annual prize of the Poetry Society of America, and the inaugural Pulitzer Prize for poetry.
Her poem 'There Will Come Soft Rains' inspired sci-fi writer Ray Bradbury to create a 1950 short story based on the poem.
