Recorded the albums ‘Pure Prairie League’ (1972), ‘Bustin’ Out’ (1972), ‘Two Lane Highway’ (1975), ‘If the Shoe Fits’ (1976), ‘Dance’ (1976), ‘Just Fly’ (1978), ‘Firin’ Up’ (1980), ‘Something in the Night’ (1981) and ‘All in Good Time’ (2006)
Recorded the singles ‘Amie’ (1973) and ‘Let Me Love You Tonight’ (1980)

Why they might be annoying:

‘Amie’ took over two years to become a Top 40 hit, by which point Fuller, the song’s writer and lead singer, had left the group.
By the time ‘Amie’ became a hit, the band had also been dropped from RCA Records (although they were quickly re-signed in the wake of the single’s success).
By 1978, the last of the band’s founding members had left the group. (Although some of the originals would come back for the various band reunions.)

Why they might not be annoying:

They took their name from a women’s temperance group featured in the Errol Flynn-Olivia De Haviland Western ‘Dodge City.’
They incorporated a Norman Rockwell illustration of a cowboy into most of their album covers, giving them a distinctive visual hook.
Future country star Vince Gill was their vocalist in the early 1980s and sang lead on their biggest hit, ‘Let Me Love You Tonight.’
