Why Federal Bureau of Investigation might be annoying:

It provides the copyright warning that appears on commercial videotapes and DVDs.
It has been accused of overlooking intelligence that could have lead to the uncovering of the 9/11 plot before it was carried out.
It caved to Richard Nixon and stopped the Watergate investigation.
Some of its agents have been fired for misconduct.
It labeled Richard Jewell as the prime suspect in the 1996 Olympic bombing, but Jewell was never charged and later cleared of wrongdoing.
Several of its agents have become Soviet spies including Richard Miller and Robert Hanssen.
It was lead by J. Edgar Hoover for 48 years, about half the time of its existence.
Hoover occasionally used FBI money and manpower for personal purposes (such as remodeling his house).
It sometimes conducts illegal searches and seizures on innocent people.
Its agents were not officially authorized to carry guns and make arrests until the late 1930s.
During the 1990s, its crime lab was giving out poor analysis of evidence, forcing many cases to be reopened.

Why Federal Bureau of Investigation might not be annoying:

FBI agents and security forces have saved countless lives in the agency's history.
It has helped capture hundreds of terrorists living in the US after 9/11.
Many of its employees give up high-paying jobs in the private sector to work as FBI agents or analysts.
It maintains the National Crime Information Center, which can be used to match suspects to a database.
It has cracked thousands of violent crime, espionage, terrorism and financial crimes.
It helped cripple the Communist Party and enforced the Smith Act.
    It uncovered the American Mafia.
It helped hasten the process of desegregation.
It wiped out the extremist Branch Davidian sect.
It captured numerous Nazi and communist spies before, during and after World War II.
Despite limited jurisdiction, it successfully fought gangsters during Prohibition and the Great Depression.
During the Vietnam era, it hunted down and arrested violent war protestors (some of whom had orchestrated deadly bombings that killed many people).
    It offers internships to students.
