    He was a one hit wonder.
    He flunked out of college, noting 'I'd check my watch and it would be time for class, and I'd say 'Fuck it.'
    He said he hit it off with producer Jack Nitzsche because 'both of us like to drink and do drugs.'
    During one recording session, he was so drunk he fell off his stool while singing.
    After retiring from the music biz, he wrote for the tabloids 'The Sun' and 'Weekly World News.'
    His songs have been recorded by 200 artists, ranging from Cher to Eric Clapton.
    He wrote five novels.
    Pulp recorded a song about him, 'Bob Lind (The Only Way Is Down).'
