Murderer

The Resume

    Resident of New Orleans
29 year-old tow truck driver, former security guard
Arrested for the murder of New Orleans Saints linebacker Will Smith defensive end (Apr. 10, 2016)
Reportedly rear-ended Smith's car while chasing another 'hit-and-run' driver; shot Smith in cold blood after a heated argument ensued
Found guilty on charges on manslaughter, faces up to a 40 year prison sentence (Dec. 11, 2016)

Why he might be annoying:

He previously had altercations with Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu and Buffalo Bills safety Raion Hill, both of whom grew up in his poor New Orleans neighborhood.
He had previously been arrested on charges of illegal drug and weapon possession (2010).
He spent six months in prison after pleading guilty to possession of codein syrup and the weapons charge, a plea which he later withdrew (2012 - 2013).
He also did a separate six-month probationary period for a separate drug/weapon related arrest, in 2014.
He was accused of intentionally ramming his hummer into the bumper of Smith's Mercedes in retaliation for the vehicle tapping Hayes' bumper earlier (which may or may not have been Smith).
There was ongoing speculation as to whether there was any premeditated intent to do harm to Smith, who (weirdly enough) had been dining that very night with a New Orleans police commander who had been named in a federal affidavit against the department over the wrongful shooting of his father. Hayes' attorney denied any connection.
He tried arguing that he was acting in self-defense after a gun was Smith's car, but there was no evidence that Smith had tried to use it (nor would it have given him cause to shoot Smith 8-9 times, including in the back).
It also wouldn't have gave him cause to shoot Smith's wife, Raquel Smith, multiple times in the legs (she sustained life threatening injuries and severe damage to both knees).
His star witness during the courtroom proceedings was his only passenger, Kevin O'Neal, who repeatedly insinuated that Smith had 'brought his own death on himself' (once in response to the Prosecution's asking 'how Smith's widow would have to celebrate the birthday of one of her children' without Smith).
Aside from O'Neal's testimony containing major inconsistencies, it didn't much help that the prosecution unearthed a video the witness had uploaded to YouTube calling Hayes' lead defense attorney 'a sell-out' who 'gets people off on technicalities when they're guilty.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He was an extra in the movie '22 Jump Street.'
He was had an ownership share in a small company that dealt in the mix-breeding of pit-bulls.
He was a top prospect football player in New Orleans at Warren Easton High School, in 2004.
He played football with the Crescent City Kings, as part of the Gridiron Developmental Football League, and was said to have a promising semi-pro football career ahead of him.
His dad was rumored to be mentally unstable and was gunned down by police during a dispute at a pharmacy, in which the officer claimed he had seen the man 'lunge at him.'
A judge ruled that legal force was justified, but when Hayes sued the city for damages, they settled out of court for a 'large sum of money' (2011).
