Why C-SPAN might be annoying:

It is not known for its inventive camera angles. In fact, its known for focusing a fixed camera on a legislative body for hours on end.
It shows the worst kind of reality programming.
Filibusters are the closest it gets to showing car chase scenes.
Sometimes it will broadcast the Senate taking roll for hours.
Its tried to reach its tendrils into broadcasting the Supreme Court, but they have always been denied access.
It spun-off C-SPAN2 and C-SPAN3.

Why C-SPAN might not be annoying:

There are no advertisements (though some of the Republicans plug Christ).
It is a non-profit network.
It allows uncensored interviews.
If it captures nudity, it does not censor it.
It does not receive any government funding.
It keeps taps on our government.
Most of its coverage is live and unedited.
It offers mosts of its recorded programming free of charge on its website.
It has some of the most neutral, balanced public affairs coverage there is.
It is the only good argument for sensationalism.
