Attorney

The Resume

    (October 19, 1952- )
    Born in Raleigh, North Carolina
Birth name is Lucian Lincoln Wood Jr.
Received a law degree from Mercer University (1977)
    Represented Richard Jewell (1996)
Attorney for Patsy Ramsey, Herman Cain, Gary Condit, and Nick Sandmann
Provided legal representation on behalf of President Donald Trump following allegations of fraud in the 2020 Presidential election

Why he might be annoying:

He was a personal injury lawyer (i.e. ambulance chaser).
His M.O. is taking on clients deemed too toxic for regular attorneys to touch (i.e. Kyle Rittenhouse, charged with traveling across state lines with a firearm to intervene in the Kenosha riots, resulting in his being charged with homicide).
He was sued by three of his former law firm colleagues, in a lawsuit which alleged breach of contract (August 2020).
He tweeted support for QAnon conspiracy theories, which resulted in his Twitter account being locked.
He responded to the account locking by opening a Parler account and announcing his intention to sue Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
He chose to meddle/assist in President Trump's attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 Presidential election, repeatedly alleging fraud and indulging in grand conspiracy theories about Dominion Voting Systems.
His activity extended to him and attorney Sidney Powell openly calling for Republican voters to boycott the Georgia runoff Senate election as a means of 'teaching the GOP a lesson' (but also likely to blackmail/force the hands of Brian Kemp/Kelly Loeffler/David Perdue into siding with Trump).

Why he might not be annoying:

He has crossed swords with Gloria Allred several times.
When he was sixteen, his father beat his mother to death.
He successfully obtained libel settlements for Richard Jewell (from CNN and NBC) and Nick Sandmann (CNN and the Washington Post).
He is unafraid to be associated with cases deemed too controversial or polarizing.
He helped Burke Ramsey reach settlements in multiple libel cases after a CBS docuseries alleged that he had murdered his sister and that his parents covered for him.
He has been a part of the Trump campaign's legal effort, but according to Breitbart, he is a Democrat.
Although he made his name suing the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on behalf of Richard Jewell, he openly criticized Clint Eastwood for its inaccurate depiction of events in his film on the subject (which included alleging that reporters traded sexual favors for stories about Jewell).
