Tennis Player

The Resume

    (January 23, 1968- )
    Born in Prague, Czech Republic
    Won the Australian Open (1998)
Won the men's doubles title at the Australian Open with Stefan Edberg (1996)

Why he might be annoying:

Sports Illustrated called him 'the 30-year-old ugly duckling of tennis.'
He missed the world #1 ranking by only two points (February, 1998).
After a match at Wimbledon, he tested positive for steroids (1998).
His defense was claiming he had no idea how the steroids had ended up in his system.
Due to a badly written appeals process by the International Tennis Federation, the excuse was sufficient to delay his suspension for the offense by nearly a full year.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is left-handed.
The Czechoslovakian government was so paranoid about defectors that it cut his food allowance for six months when he returned 48 hours late from a junior tournament.
He was known for his exuberant scissor kicks after victories.
He is pretty scrawny for an alleged juicer.
