Why PepsiCo might be annoying
It entered bankruptcy (1931).
Joan Crawford was an early supporter of the drink after she married the company's President.
In soft drink sales, they seem to be the perpetual second banana to the Coca-Cola Company.
It sells junk food that one can wash down with its junk sugar water.
It owned tons of fast food restaurants which it then sold off.
Most of its product line is extremely unhealthy for you, yet its the number one food and beverage company in North America.
Mexicans have trouble pronouncing the word 'Pepsi' so in that market they changed the name of the product to 'Pecsi.'
Why PepsiCo might not be annoying
In the 'Pepsi Challenge,' it beat Coca Cola so bad that Coke changed the formula to their soft drink, leading to Coke's most embarrassing public relations gaffe.
They were able to beat the Coca Cola Company in net revenue for the first time in 112 years of competition (December 2005).
The Pepsi Refresh Project encourages philanthropy by seeking out nonprofits to award money to based on their good deeds.
It voluntarily decided to remove its sugary soft drinks from schools.
They announced that they, along with several other companies, are cutting 1.5 trillion calories from their products by the end of 2015.
